Cocktails, Tapas, Networking and Dr. Vladovic Discussion @ POLAHS, 250 West 5th Street, San Pedro. On Thursday, April 29th, POLAHS will launch their 2010 scholarship campaign. The “kick-off” cocktail party will be held at POLAHS with a thought-provoking conversation with LAUSD District 7 Board Member, Dr. Richard Vladovic (www. vladovic.laschoolboard.org). Sandro Lanni, President of Charter School Management Corp. (www.csmi.com) will moderate as POLAHS explores the current status of California charter schools. In addition to the Conversation with Dr. Vladovic, POLAHS will be conducting facility tours. On behalf of the POLAHS students, faculty and Board of Trustees, POLAHS invites the community to participate in the annual 2010 POLAHS Scholarship Fund. Because of the generous assistance of our community, last year POLAHS was able to award over $50,000 to 84 worthy students, many of whom are the first in their family to graduate high school and attend college.
